Kendal English School was honoured to receive an invitation from the Municipality of Las Condes to attend a special commemorative ceremony at the Military School, celebrating the birthday of General Bernardo O’Higgins, one of the founding fathers of our nation and a central figure in Chile’s history.

Representing our school community, Teacher Jorge Aravena, together with members of the Kendal Student Council, proudly attended this meaningful ceremony, sharing with other members of the community a moment of respect, remembrance and deep appreciation for our country’s history.

This occasion allowed our students to experience firsthand the importance of honouring those who dedicated their lives to the freedom and construction of Chile. With pride and respect, our students represented the values of Kendal English School, demonstrating civic responsibility, respect for our traditions and a genuine love for our homeland.

At Kendal, we believe that educating our students means not only developing academic excellence and global competencies, but also nurturing responsible citizens who understand their history, value their heritage and contribute positively to their community.

We are especially proud that our students had the opportunity to participate in this important national commemoration and to celebrate the legacy of Bernardo O’Higgins with respect, gratitude and patriotic spirit.
