As a special and emotional part of their farewell celebration, our 12th Grade students will share a beautiful dance with their parents, creating a meaningful moment of love, gratitude, and togetherness. This heartfelt presentation will conclude with our traditional Chilean Cueca, a symbolic tribute to our country, our roots, and the cherished memories that will accompany our students as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

Students from 11th Grade will present a traditional Rapa Nui dance, inspired by the rich cultural heritage and ancestral traditions of Easter Island (Rapa Nui). Through expressive movements, rhythmic music, and graceful choreography, the performance seeks to convey the spirit, history, and identity of the Rapa Nui people. This presentation is a celebration of Chile’s cultural diversity and a tribute to the traditions that have been passed down through generations.

Students from 12th Grade will present the Caporales, one of Bolivia’s most energetic and distinctive traditional dances. With its powerful rhythms, dynamic footwork, expressive movements, and colorful costumes, the performance reflects the rich cultural heritage and festive spirit of Bolivia. Through this presentation, students celebrate Latin American folklore while highlighting the tradition, strength, and cultural identity represented by this vibrant dance. 

Students from 9th and 10th grades will perform the Festejo, one of Peru’s most vibrant traditional dances. With its energetic rhythm, joyful movements, and lively choreography, the dance celebrates Peruvian culture, Afro-Peruvian heritage, and the joy of its people.

Students from 7th and 8th grades will perform the Chacarera, one of Argentina’s most traditional folk dances. Originating in the northern regions of the country, it is characterized by its lively rhythm, graceful movements, turns, and the use of handkerchiefs. The dance celebrates Argentine folklore, tradition, and cultural identity.

Students from 5th and 6th Grades presented a lively traditional Colombian dance, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage through music, colorful costumes, rhythm, and movement. This performance celebrates Colombia’s diversity and the joy of its traditional dances.

Durante esta especial jornada, nuestros estudiantes fueron protagonistas de hermosas presentaciones artísticas y bailes tradicionales, demostrando su compromiso, talento y orgullo por nuestras raíces culturales.Cada curso preparó sus coreografías con dedicación y entusiasmo, brindando a las familias y asistentes un espectáculo lleno de color, música y tradición. Kendal English School was honoured to receive an invitation from the&nbsp;Municipality of Las Condes&nbsp;to attend a special commemorative ceremony at the&nbsp;Military School, celebrating the birthday of&nbsp;General Bernardo O’Higgins, one of the founding fathers of our nation and a central figure in Chile’s history.Representing our school community,&nbsp;Teacher Jorge Aravena, together with members of the&nbsp;Kendal Student Council, proudly attended this meaningful ceremony, sharing with other members of the community a moment of respect, remembrance and deep appreciation for our country’s history.This occasion allowed our students to experience firsthand the importance of honouring those who dedicated their lives to the freedom and construction of Chile. With pride and respect, our students represented the values of&nbsp;Kendal English School, demonstrating civic responsibility, respect for our traditions and a genuine love for our homeland.At Kendal, we believe that educating our students means not only developing academic excellence and global competencies, but also nurturing&nbsp;responsible citizens who understand their history, value their heritage and contribute positively to their community.We are especially proud that our students had the opportunity to participate in this important national commemoration and to celebrate the legacy of Bernardo O’Higgins with&nbsp;respect, gratitude and patriotic spirit.
