Con gran entusiasmo, alegría y espíritu patriótico, nuestra comunidad educativa celebró una nueva versión de las Fiestas Patrias en el Colegio Kendal. Durante esta especial jornada, nuestros estudiantes fueron protagonistas de hermosas presentaciones artísticas y bailes tradicionales, demostrando su compromiso, talento y orgullo por nuestras raíces culturales.Cada curso preparó sus coreografías con dedicación y entusiasmo, brindando a las familias y asistentes un espectáculo lleno de color, música y tradición. Kendal English School was honoured to receive an invitation from the Municipality of Las Condes to attend a special commemorative ceremony at the Military School, celebrating the birthday of General Bernardo O’Higgins, one of the founding fathers of our nation and a central figure in Chile’s history.Representing our school community, Teacher Jorge Aravena, together with members of the Kendal Student Council, proudly attended this meaningful ceremony, sharing with other members of the community a moment of respect, remembrance and deep appreciation for our country’s history.This occasion allowed our students to experience firsthand the importance of honouring those who dedicated their lives to the freedom and construction of Chile. With pride and respect, our students represented the values of Kendal English School, demonstrating civic responsibility, respect for our traditions and a genuine love for our homeland.At Kendal, we believe that educating our students means not only developing academic excellence and global competencies, but also nurturing responsible citizens who understand their history, value their heritage and contribute positively to their community.We are especially proud that our students had the opportunity to participate in this important national commemoration and to celebrate the legacy of Bernardo O’Higgins with respect, gratitude and patriotic spirit.

Kendal English School celebrated Arts Day, a special occasion dedicated to creativity, artistic expression and the active participation of our entire school community.From 10:00 to 13:00, our students had the opportunity to explore different forms of art and showcase their talents through a variety of engaging activities.Among the highlights was the “My Favourite Artist” Characterization, where students came dressed as artists, musicians, painters, actors and actresses who inspire them, allowing creativity and imagination to take centre stage.The school also hosted the Kendal English School Voice Festival, featuring talented students from both the Middle School (5th–8th Grade) and Senior School (9th–12th Grade).Another meaningful activity was the “My Identity” Painting Competition, inviting students to express through art their interests, culture, dreams and personal vision of the world.Our Living Pictures brought famous works of art to life as students recreated them through body expression, costumes and scenery, connecting with artistic heritage in a creative and participatory way.Students also enjoyed a variety of Art Workshops, where they experimented with different techniques and explored new forms of visual expression.At Kendal English School, we believe that art is a powerful way to discover who we are, express what we feel and connect with others. Arts Day was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate creativity, diversity and the unique talents that make our community special.

Estimados Padres y Apoderados:<br>Junto con saludarlos cordialmente, tenemos el agrado de informarles que el próximo miércoles 5 de agosto celebraremos en nuestro establecimiento el Día de las Artes, una jornada especialmente preparada para promover la creatividad, la expresión artística y la participación de toda nuestra comunidad educativa.<br><br>Durante este día, nuestros estudiantes podrán disfrutar y participar en las siguientes actividades:<br><br> Personificación de su artista favorito: Los estudiantes a asistir caracterizados como un artista, músico, pintor, actor o actriz del mundo del arte que los inspire, la creatividad será el elemento principal.<br> Festival de la Voz Kendal English School: Se realizará la presentación de los participantes en las categorías: Middle: 5° Básico a 8° Básico.<br> Senior: 1° Medio a 4° Medio.<br>&nbsp;Para poder participar, se deberá enviar los audios de la pista en versión karaoke. Our school proudly celebrated Indigenous Peoples with a meaningful cultural experience that invited students to explore and appreciate the richness of Chile’s ancestral heritage. Each classroom was transformed into a unique exhibition representing different Indigenous communities, showcasing their traditions, history, art, language, and way of life.Equipped with their own "cultural passports," students visited each classroom, discovering new knowledge and collecting stamps as they completed their journey through the different cultures. This interactive experience encouraged curiosity, active learning, and meaningful exchanges among students of all grade levels.Aligned with our Cambridge educational approach, this celebration promoted global awareness, respect for diversity, and appreciation of cultural identity. It also strengthened essential values such as empathy, respect, collaboration, and a sense of belonging, helping our students understand the importance of preserving and honoring the cultural heritage that enriches our society.We sincerely thank our teachers, students, and families for their creativity, dedication, and enthusiasm in making this celebration such an inspiring and memorable learning experience.

Our 7th and 8th grade students enjoyed an enriching educational visit to Club Manquehue, where they had the opportunity to explore artistic gymnastics by practicing on a variety of official apparatus under expert guidance.<br><br>Organized by our Physical Education Department, this experience encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones while developing strength, coordination, balance, resilience, and self-confidence. More importantly, it reinforced essential Cambridge learner attributes such as confidence, responsibility, collaboration, and perseverance.<br><br>At Kendal English School, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. Our students enjoyed an exciting educational outing to Cero grados Ice Rink, where they had the opportunity to develop confidence, perseverance, balance, and teamwork in a fun and engaging environment.<br><br>Beyond learning new skating skills, this experience encouraged our students to challenge themselves, support one another, and create lasting memories with their classmates. These moments outside the classroom strengthen friendships and promote the social and emotional growth that is an essential part of our educational project.<br><br>We are proud of our students for their enthusiasm, positive attitude, and excellent behavior throughout the day, making this experience both enjoyable and meaningful for everyone involved.

Our British Fair 2026 was a wonderful celebration of language, culture, creativity, and academic excellence.
